More dates added! See description below.

PIPA is excited to announce that we will be running summer leagues this year. Jordan Lee is our league coordinator. Jordan will be the one sending out registration information, communications, and running the league nights. You can reach him at JJLEE2727@gmail.com with any questions.

Here are the details about the first round of leagues:

Our first round of leagues will feature King and Queen of the Court style ladder leagues. Here is how ladder leagues work:
*No specific DUPR level, the 10 people who sign up are just split to 2 courts (top 5 DUPRS on one court, next 5 on the other court)
*On your court, there are five people. You will play 4 games to 17 (rally scoring, win by 1) and have 1 bye. You will play with each person once. Once both courts are finished, the top player from the lower group moves up and the bottom player from the top group moves down. Then, there is one more round.

We will be holding ladders on the following dates:
5/11, 5/18, 6/1, 6/15, and 6/22. These are all Sunday evenings (all of our summer leagues will occur Sunday evenings). Women will play from 4-6PM and men from 6-8PM.

UPDATE: We have added more dates! We will continue ladders for June 29, July 6, July 13, July 20, and July 27.

Registration and Cost
Each night costs only $5 and is paid through cash when you arrive.

Each week, PIPA members will receive early access to sign up. On the Monday morning (at 8 AM) the week before the ladder, PIPA members will receive a Sign Up Genius link to sign up. (for example, on Monday, May 5, the first email will be sent out to PIPA members to sign up for Sunday, May 11). You will need to sign up each week when the email comes out if you'd like to play. There will be a new Sign Up Genius link sent out each time.
On Tuesday at 8 AM, the link will be public for others to sign up.

Disclaimers
We cannot "rent" the courts. Last year, we had no issue getting two courts for leagues, but we just want to let everyone know that we will try to start as close as possible to 4pm and 6pm.
If a ladder is canceled due to weather, it will not be made up and registration will not be rolled over to the next week.
Our plan is to assess how ladders are going after the last scheduled on June 22. If they're going well, we might continue them. We could also transition to a partner type league. Stay tuned!
